Mata and Benitez discuss 'dangerous' Basel
Chelsea coach Rafa Benitez says he is concerned but not afraid of FC Basel after their 2-1 first leg win in Switzerland.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Juan Mata, Chelsea (Q; How do you feel the balance of the tie lies after a 2-1 first leg win?)
"Well obviously I think that the goal from David Luiz was very important for us. Scoring two goals away is always a very good thing to do when you are playing in Europe. But we still know that we have to fight to be in the final. We got a great result in Switzerland but now we have to play again ninety minutes and I'm sure that they are not going to give up. They are a team who try until the end as they did in their stadium so it will be tough for sure."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Juan Mata, Chelsea (Q: What does the Europa League mean to Chelsea? After all, you won the Champions League last season?)
"Well for me and I think for the team and the club it's very very important to have the chance to be in another European final. I mean after winning the Champions League last season, we have now the chance to be in another European final, trying to win another trophy which will be new for the club. So I think it means a lot for the club, the supporters and the players for sure."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Rafa Benitez, Chelsea Interim Manager (Q: FC Basel have scored a lot of goals away from home against English opposition. Do you have reason to fear them?)
"I have to use my words carefully so I am concerned, but I am not afraid. So we know that they are a dangerous team. I said before that they are quite strong, they score goals away. We know that. At the same time, we know that we have a good team and are so close to the final that we have to be really focussed, concentrate, don't make mistakes and I have a lot of confidence in my players
