Fiorentina beat Torino 4-3 in a thriller at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Fiorentina took the lead in the 7th minute when Juan Cuadrado cut in and toe poked an effort that sailed that Torino goalkeeper Fernandino Coppola couldn’t keep out.
Fiorentina were dominant, maintaining possession and playing comfortably. They doubled their lead when Borja Valero found Aquilani in the box with an excellent cross and the Italian international made no mistake with his head. La Viola were pushing forward and made it three when Adem Ljajic struck a free kick into the top corner from just outside the box.
Torino got one back when Santana found Barreto on the edge of the box who finished neatly to make it 3-1 just before half time to keep the game alive for the away side.
Torino equalised in superb style when Fiorentina gave the ball away on the edge of their box to Alessio Cerci who curled in a beauty of a shot to make it 3-3. Fiorentina finally re-took the lead with 5 minutes left to play when play between El Hamadoui and Cuadrado allowed young substitute Romulo to get through on goal to finish to grab a goal at the death for La Viola. Torino also has Matteo Darmian sent off late in the second half.
